Admissions
A thoughtful path to membership.
We welcome mission-minded families. Membership is a commitment to family-centered, leadership education — here’s how to join.
How Membership Works
Four simple steps
A clear process designed to make sure our community is the right fit for your family — and yours for us.
01
Learn
Explore our philosophy and get to know our community to see whether IMA is the right fit for your family.
02
Apply & Read
Submit your family application and complete the three required readings — the Constitution, Policies & Procedures, and A Thomas Jefferson Education. Together they build a shared vision before we meet.
03
Interview
Once your application and readings are complete, meet with leadership so we can get to know your family and answer every question.
04
Enroll
Accept your place, complete enrollment and the family fee, and register your scholars for classes.
Required Reading
What to read before your interview
Reading these together gives our whole community a shared vision and a common language, so every family begins from the same understanding of who we are and how we learn.
03
A Thomas Jefferson Education
by Oliver DeMille
The leadership-education philosophy at the heart of IMA. Available from most booksellers.
Complete all three readings alongside your application — before your admissions interview.
